How the times have changed

The clip is saying just because something looks normal does not mean that it is. The video says that homosexuality is a sickness almost like a disease. The way we used to feel about homosexuals is the way we feel about murderers, rapists, and pedophiles. Parents teach their kids in life to be careful about these kinds of people. Out of the things in life to fear homosexuality should not be one of them. America was built on a principle of freedom, equality, and tolerance of differences. Yet we don't always follow these principles. The policies we have with other countries reflect the same intolerance as shown in the Old Homosexual warning video. With what happened on 9/11 we now look at every Arab or foreigner that looks like them as a terrorist. I think that after a attack on us we start to look at people more closely not for who they are but what they look like. We now fear Arabs and people that look like them everywhere we go. We might take an extra look at them as we or they walk by. Where as before we could not have cared. In the Levi video they show that it is okay to be homosexual. They have guy who is pulling us his pants and as he does a guy in a phone booth pops up. It's like the extreme opposite from the first video because the first one is saying be aware of the homosexual and the Levi one is a commercial showing accepting homosexuality. It goes to show you how times have changed. It's not like everyone is accepting of everyone else because people still judge other people but more people are coming out than used to. You have celebrities saying that they are gay on magazine covers which we never used to see before. We still express a fear of the unknown because we don't give the time or day to anyone that is different from us. This fear is caused by the past because of what has happened and what may happen in the future.
